hard play│soft bodies is a performance that brings together artists from the Canton area to explore how their choreographic practices are shaped by distinct social, political, and cultural realities. With artists from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao, the project begins with the question: How do the artists navigate the invisible yet rigid constraints of their respective environments?
The performance invites the audience in a journey where shifting aesthetics, modes of attention, and relational regimes unfold. hard play│soft bodies is an attempt to reflect on how movement is embedded in broader societal forces, offering a landscape where dance, context, and world-building intersect.
