Solo for voice 22 and 8 were created in the framework of Songbooks as playing instructions (Songbooks als Spielanleitung) a coproduction of the Berlin Academy of the arts (Akademie der Künste) and the Inter-University Centre for Dance, HZT-Berlin, as part of the exhibition A year from Monday – 365 Days of Cage. The songbooks, written by John Cage in 1970, were used in the project as a base for a set of performances by various artists, performed simultaneously in a common space.
