Led by Sandhya Daemgen and Alexandre Achour, Embodied Percussive Choir is a POC-led choir open to all people and singing levels. We learn lyrics, harmonies, vocal percussions, bass lines and electronic sounds of pop songs and connect them to embodied groove-based movements. Sessions include warm-up, learning a new song every month and collective improvisations that are playful, collaborative and joyful.

 

Sandhya and Alexandre are performers and practicing artists who have worked with voice and movement for the past fifteen years and are interested in making their artistic practice inclusive and community-centered.
