This artistic research examined subversive participatory performances from the 20th century, which used participatory means to transform the role, position or experience of the spectator and which were critical towards their social and cultural contexts.
We used different sources and references to create a data base in the form of a timeline that accounts for currents, performances or artists that used participation as a means for social change.
Out of this process, we wrote texts for the performance Speaking about the Ghost that re-tell past participatory performances from the perspective of the audience.
